All Saints' Lessons and Carols
This past Sunday at church we had a Lessons and Carols service. We had a storyteller who told the story of Christmas. The kids started off the service with singing "Away in the Manger" and it was so cute. It was of course the highlight of the service for me. Our teachers Ms. Beth and Ms. Whitney did a great job working with the kids and prepare for the service. We had a parent who got the costumes which added so much for the kids. They were so excited about dressing up.
Our little Angel
Caroling with All Saints'
Last weekend we went caroling with our church and it was so much fun. I truly can not remember the last time that I have been, but I am sure that I did it as a child. We went to a outdoor shopping center and it was almost 70 degrees. We had a great turn out and then afterwards we had a "Birthday party for Jesus" The kids had a great time and we had a birthday cake. When we arrived at the party Riley asked us "Where is Jesus?" That is one of those challenging questions and I am sure there will be many more to come.
Disney On Ice
We had a special treat this year and went to see Disney on Ice. We are going to Disney in May for Riley's birthday so she is really starting to get into Mickey Mouse and the princesses. When the show started she was on the edge of her seat. It was so cute to see the excitement on her face. Mickey was more of just a host at the show, so every time that he left she kept asking where he was. Cars was a part of the show and she has not seen that movie before, but she knows that her Papa is very big into cars and she said that Papa would like it. I am sure that he would have. We went with Emma and Riley and all 3 girls really had a good time. Of course the popcorn was a hit too with all 3 of them.
Off to the North Pole - Santa Train
A few weeks ago we went with our friends the Miller's to see santa at the museum on the train. Riley was so excited to see him. We didn't know if she might be scared of him when he came to her, but of course she wasn't. She told him that she wanted new paints and a new paint brush. We have no clue where that came from, but I think Santa will be able to handle that. It was a special treat that Mrs. Clause was there too.
